 Consider finding a way to overcome the PHP upload limits that presents
 problems to users importing large WordPress XML files into their blog.

 Can any of the new automatic plugin update technology be used for this?

 This is a persistent question in the Forums.  Recommendations to increase
 PHP settings are thwarted because many hosts make it difficult-to-
 impossible to change any PHP settings.
