 Can you just confirm:

  1. Visiting http://mysite.com/?page_id=5 sends a 302 redirect, But doesnt
 redirect the user?

 redirect the user
  1. Visiting http://mysite.com/?page_id=5 sends a 301 redirect, And does
 redirect the user
  1. Visiting http://mysite.com/?page_id=5 sends a 302 redirect, but you
 think it should be sending a 301 to be more search engine friendly

 I cant work out if you're refering to 1. or 4. or maybe one of the
 others..
