Comment:

 Ordering, beyond a simple alphabetical sort is difficult to do correctly.
 Some people will want articles moved to the end, others will want to leave
 them at the start. Some will even want the article moved for some of their
 links but not for others.

 Alphabetical sort can be done efficiently by the database, other sorts are
 not so easy.

 I believe this is best left to a plugin if it's something you desire.
