Comment:

 Agreed. That's the new-ish Blogger Data API, which they implemented after
 Google bought Blogger. The Blogger API that WordPress implements via XML-
 RPC is the older Blogger API, as found here:
 http://www.blogger.com/developers/api/documentation20.html

 WP doesn't support the GData API. It wouldn't make much sense to do so, I
 think, as that's very Google specific.
