 As a plugin author, I know that sometimes I would like to put some plugin
 information on the front page, where it is easy for the user to see. But
 currently, the only hook that I can use to do this is down at the bottom
 of the page, near the end of the Activity box. I would like to see a hook
 that lets plugins insert their information at the top of the dashboard
 landing page, and maybe a few more in different positions. I'll submit a
 patch for this soon.
