 +1 for fixing.

 Reading over the opinions it looks to me that one side doesn't want to
 conform to a published and well known specification because "that's not
 how we've always done it."  I can't see a compelling reason to NOT fix
 this.

 I think the posts by davidmeade at 02/29/08 19:12:34 and by
 andreashaugstrup at 02/29/08 19:35:02 state a clear case as to why this
 should be fixed.
