 When I upload a few PDF files and they become listed as a "Gallery" it
 would be great if they could be added in the same way as images can be.

 A simple list of links would be fine. Extra detail such as list, link
 style, etc could be specified in the "Gallery Settings" area.

 I've looked for a plug-in which can archive this for a long while with no
 luck.

 I think this would really help as it brings an extra layer of document
 management to WP.
