 We are on the way to find it - great!

 Loading time of the first page of Wordpress 2.7 with several plugins
 enabled: 2.6 seconds - quit faster than before!

 Loading time of the first page of Wordpress 2.7 without any plugins and
 default theme - 1.2 second.
