 Perhaps I wasn't clear: the [locale].php file would be in wp-
 includes/languages/[your_locale].php or wp-
 content/languages/[your_locale].php. For Danish the name would be
 dk_DK.php.

 Also, if the default theme is localized (translated), try replacing it
 with a non-translated one from the English distribution package.
