 I think it would be useful to add a small option in the WordPress admin
 interface which allows administrators to choose how often WordPress checks
 for updates to the plugins they have. Maybe under "''Miscellaneous''" or a
 new tab like "''Plugins''" or something. If you go the route of a new tab
 called "''Plugins''" then that gives you a place for other global settings
 for plugins in the future.
