#7571: Widget Admin area: Allow content of widgets to be selected

 Priority: normal | Milestone: 2.7
Component: General | Version: 2.6
Severity: normal | Keywords: widget, content, select, copy, paste

In the Design -> Widgets admin area, click the "edit" button on e.g. a
 Text Widget.

Note that when editing the contents of the text widget, it is possible to
Paste content from the clipboard (e.g. using CTRL V), however, it is
currently not possible (WP2.6, IE7) to select content within the window
(using mouse selecting or SHIFT arrowkey).

This makes it harder to edit the window (e.g. one cannot select a large
area of no-longer-wanted text to then delete - instead, one must use the
 delete key repeatededly)

It also makes it hard to copy the contents of the widget to store
elsewhere for safekeeping - e.g. while updating or changing themes,
keeping the contents of the widgets safe in case they dissappear on those
 changes.

This is true for other widgets too - e.g. RSS widgets etc. None of them
 are selectable.

So it would be great if the content of widget form text areas could be
selected, to aid copying / deleting content.
