 With r8534, I get an error message like the following:

 Warning: http_build_query() [function.http-build-query]: Parameter 1
 expected to be Array or Object. Incorrect value given. in [blog path
 removed]/wp-includes/http.php on line 200

 Removing the call to http_build_query removes the message but might have
 other side effects that I may not know about.
