 Yeah, "And on top of that, most of the HTTP methods are designed to fetch
 the entire file" wasnt exactly directed at you, Rather at the person who
 wrote the file url wrapper & http extension, AFAIK, they're designed to
 return the full data stream rather than just a portion of it.

 Allthough, That could be worked around with a fread() & family instead of
 stream_get_whatever()?
