 Yes, it's currently a PNG, but it also doesn't have any transparency right
 now. It has a background color the same as the footer.

 Your image will have a pure black background in IE6 which would look a lot
 worse IMO.

 I'm all for making it look better in Firefox and IE7, but not at the
 expense of another browser. Or maybe that's just me.
