Comment:

 Ok, I've found the problem. The suhosin extension 0.9.20 and WordPress
 don't like each other. Once I disabled it, the  WordPress uploader worked
 fine.

 Is this something we should seek to fix, or simply document it for future
 users who experience the problem?
