 I know it's stupidly close to the line, but I think it would be a good
 move to delay 2.3 and get this into 2.3. Putting it in 2.4 or even 2.3.1
 will be too late for the tinfoil hat brigade.

 Note that I couldn't give a shit. I'm thinking of the PR here.
