 Well foolswidom, reality is some people do modify Wordpress for certain
 functionality! Some of the comments in the post(which is conveniently
 ignored), justifies that. If you want to do something about stable footing
 see #4883

 Thanks, and an enhancement is much appreciated, and will help of some of
 us get on stable footing!
