 rev 5999's changes to functions.php seem to break uploading... The Write
 page in the control panel does not display the Upload button... Revert to
 an earlier version of functions.php and the Upload button reappears. Can
 replicate this in WP 2.3 trunk under php 5.1.6 and 5.2
