 O.k. I think, I've found the real problem with dateTime objects:
 As it is stated here, the format can be both YYYYMMDD and YYYY-MM-DD, but
 Wordpress [http://trac.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/wp-includes/class-
 IXR.php#L618 only] supports YYYYMMDD. My application uses the second
 format, which puts a date of 1999 in the database.
