 I have a hand-edited .htaccess file. Just as an idiot-check, I renamed it
 to .htaccess.disabled. Of course, all my links stopped working, but I was
 able to go to and reload http://blog.sudosu.net . The "missing" future-
 dated posts did not appear -- so it's not a case of .htaccess redirecting
 traffic away from wp-cron.php. (I didn't think it was -- but now I'm
 sure.) I've since renamed it BACK to .htaccess, and made the site work
 again. {grin}
