 As an additional bit of data, let me say that loading wp-cron.php in a web
 browser after the scheduled publication time does NOT fix the problem --
 this does not appear to be a problem with wp-cron.php not being called,
 but with wp-cron.php not doing whatever it's supposed to do when it's
 called.
