 I think Jerome's Keywords uses post meta.

 I want whatever schema suits us best.  Maybe UTW's will be fine, maybe
 not.  The schema in my patch is borrowed from bbPress.  Proposals are
 welcome.  UTW users can be easily migrated with a small upgrade script if
 we use a different schema.

 As for synonyms, maybe we should include that, not sure.  In general, I'd
 prefer to have the built-in tagging be just the basics and leave more
 advanced stuff to plugins.
