Comment:

 Fixed and tested on both wporg and wpcom.

 The problem can actually be quite purplexing to users, as sometimes child
 page is displayed correctly; Yet after refreshing the page, it is
 displayed incorrectly. Then refresh again, it is correct/incorrect
 again....
