Comment:

 I definitely vote for this enhancement.

 A new user registration message should contain (at least) the same amount
 of info that the "new comment posted" messages do.

 1. ip
 2. rdns
 3. whois lookup link

 and are new user registrations checked against the "block blacklisted ips"
 as the checkbox is available for messages? It should be.

 All it takes is a spammer doing a one time registration and then they can
 bypass most checks for spam.
