Comment:

 The ticket should read:

 {{{$post_meta_cache['$post_id']}}}

 {{{'$post_id'}}} is a string that looks like {{{$post_id}}} not a number
 that looks like {{{17}}}.

 Patch attached.

 And the patch, though named 3299-20.diff, really does apply to this
 ticket.
