 Well if it's only a temporary change by someone that knows their way
 around WP then... If we wanted to add options in the future which were
 prefixed with the table prefix then we'd encounter this problem again and
 again, and have to remember to patch every time.

 I'd create a whole bunch of dev_ tables. Then you'd have the freedom to
 chop and change users and stuff as well.
