Comment:

 morpheu5, It sounds like it would help move the problem forward if you can
 answer the questions of what is installed on the server:
 * are there any other security features enabled on the server such as
 mod_security
 * pecl/filter which is going into PHP 5.2?

 Changing component to General and severity to normal until problem is more
 understand.
