 Use the Text Control plugin  2.0b2 with my
 [http://ckon.wordpress.com/2006/08/14/updated-version-of-text-control-
 that-works-with-wp-21/ little fix documented here]

 You can then turn off wptexturize for individual posts which will fix the
 formatting for embed and objects (and script and other tags like that).
