 How about we don't generate any more Trac spam on this issue until someone
 posts a working patch?

 It seems clear that certain folks think the problem is very easy to solve
 - please go ahead and code it.  I think that even if a solution can be
 found, that solution will be complicated for the user to operate (yes, a
 toggle is too difficult when we're talking about ''time'', which doesn't
 require a toggle to operate in the real world), and is likely not appeal
 to as many people as one might think.
