 Hi everyone,

 I left a longer note on PR #524, but I wanted to link the proposal here
 too.

 The concrete direction I am suggesting is:

 - replace the legacy React ImageGallery with the core Gallery block
 - use a masonry-style layout for mixed screenshot sizes
 - use core lightbox
 - keep captions out of the grid and show them only in the lightbox

 The main reason is that this seems like the cleanest way to address the
 accumulated screenshots issues together: #2273, #8083, #7878, #5190, and
 now #8204.

 It also feels like the better long-term direction, because once this is
 based on Gutenberg blocks the gallery can evolve more cleanly later
 depending on the number and type of images.
