 Thanks for raising this @zeelthakkar, Sorry it's taken so long to be
 responded to!

 Filed a PR upstream in Learn for this:
 https://github.com/WordPress/Learn/pull/3308

 After looking at the profiles side of this, I don't think it's
 realistically worthwhile attempting to prevent duplicate requests here.

 I've cleaned the profiles up, so only one course item is listed.
