 However this might be implemented, plugin authors definitely need a way to
 be able to offer critical/security fixes to all users immediately.
 Allowing malicious actors an extra 24 hours to exploit unpatched systems
 is a bad idea.

 Obviously we can't control when those users actually apply the updates,
 but we should do everything we can on our end to facilitate such fixes.
