 that have a larger install count are much more likely to provide good long
 term support.

 As long as plugins are allowed to install other plugins using dark UX
 patterns (prechecked boxes, misleading wording) the active install count
 is a complete farce and should in no way be used under any circumstance as
 a ranking factor. Period.
