 I experienced the same issue with another plugin until today. The solution
 provided by Samuel Wood (Otto) (@otto42)
 [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/remove-me-from-trac-wordpress-
 org-3/#post-16789960 in this post] helped me solve it.

 In short, this is to request that a special note be added to all plugins'
 Development section as noted [https://prnt.sc/uEtOj0a75WmH here].

 Adding the special note will save countless hours of frustration trying to
 find out how to unsubscribe from a plugin developer's code changes and
 updates.
