 Adding badges for releases should not be difficult, as we already have
 lists of release contributors to show in the WP admin and can motivate
 people to contribute on a more regular basis to make a strike instead of
 getting a Core contributor badge once. Of course not everyone contributes
 to get a badge, but gamification works for many platforms and
 applications, and I strongly believe that it can bring more contributors
 and more fun if implemented. Still, right now I am only asking about an
 additional section with badges for releases but would love to see
 gamification as well.
