 @tellyworth great that there's some movement on this.

 However, what's the value of this data vs. what's currently offered? We
 already see versions of plugin installs, generally we as plugin authors
 know compatibility and php version support, what we're all looking for is
 more stats on installs, which is what was taken down originally.

 You're welcome to use my plugin Meta Tag Manager for reference.
