 Are there any cases where a sticky post would not want to be auto-closed?

 What I'm suggesting, is could the existing sticky option be changed to:
 > [ ] This is an announcement post. Stick this to the top of the forum and
 do not allow replies.
 > [ ] Stick this post, but allow replies.
