 Popping in my two cents as well, echoing the surprise others have
 expressed at this being deployed in its current state to the entire
 repository.

 The idea @Ajay proposed, where the README file's frontmatter has a demo
 link allowing the link to the customized sounds fantastic.

 I also think that as a new feature with complex consequences, this should
 become an **opt-in** feature first as @lesleysim suggested, and after
 being thoroughly battle-tested, could perhaps move to an **opt-out**
 feature status in the future.

 In addition, I think further configuration options would be super helpful.
 For example, for my simple block plugin, I would love to offer demo
 content that is a true **preview** of the block, rather than just being
 installed.

 The call to action also needs some work, something along the lines of
 **Try on a Demo Site** would be more accurate.
