 Thank you so much @Otto42 for giving me a solution to the issue. It seems
 to get resolved after removing a few chrome extensions (related to
 grammar). I never anticipated that a chrome extension could cause such an
 issue 🙂

 However, the issue with using emojis still persists 🙁 When I try to use
 any emojis from [https://emojipedia.org/ emojipedia] while responding to
 an existing topic or creating a new one, it shows an extra {{{</img>}}}
 tag next to the emojis.
