 Seems like you should consider just using #hosting, no other teams really
 have a separate "planning" channel from "project work" - That would
 increase the transparency..

 Is the Events separate from the Community organised events? It seems like
 #community-events would be a better place for it assuming y'all are
 working with the community events team (who has lots of experience in this
 realm..)
