 I too have found myself, as a plugin developer, in many of the same
 situations as @alh0319 has mentioned. I have become a maintainer on 2
 plugins and after following up sometime later with for example a big fix
 or feature implementation I am no longer able to update the thread with an
 update to properly inform people.
