 This is really bad. The plugin stats are around 90% less useful now.

 I reiterate all the reasons to bring it back mentioned by others.

 It is as if, as a business, you could not know how much sales or returns
 you had in a certain period. Totally shooting in the dark.

 Even if the ultimate goal is to move WordPress to a closed CMS rather than
 open source as mentioned by @Annubis, I bet plugin developers on closed
 platforms like Apple App Store, Google Play and even Shopify probably have
 enough data to make informed decisions about their products.

 Also, all successful closed platforms have some sort of 3rd-party
 extension developers working with them.

 @matt, please bring the active install growth chart back, at least
 privately to the plugin authors until a better solution is defined and
 implemented.
