I think the root issue here is that the active user statistics become less
and less useful the more users the plugin has because of the rounding. Eg.
if you have more than a million active users, the count is rounded to the
nearest million.
And since there is a huge difference between one million and two million
it's very hard for plugin owners to know the real count of active users,
for example, is the user count going up or down on a month-to-month basis?
That's why many developers have relied on active growth data to track this
metric.
So making the active user count less rounded and more useful would
diminish the need for the user growth statistic.
