Comment:

 This is due to the left being labels for the right.

 Unfortunately with the two lower ones being radio buttons, you can't
 visually see the focus being assigned to the radio buttons, but it is.

 A better example of that is clicking the top item, which adjusts the focus
 to the text box.

 I don't think removing the pointer here is of any benefit to anyone, and
 is likely to potentially reduce the accessibility of it.
