 The status site is hosted outside of WordPress.org, and does not have the
 standard customisation options.

 It's hosted on WordPress.com, where I believe we might be able to add a
 Google analytics code: https://wordpress.com/support/google-analytics/

 Will that suffice? GTM is basically out of the question.
