 As per [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/52846 52846], The default
 block patterns bundled with core will have a planned refresh in the next
 WordPress release. Development is already underway for this work:

 - Issue & Design Iterations:
 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/28921
 - PR for initial testing in Gutenberg:
 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/29973
 - PR for addition to core: https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-
 develop/pull/1103

 The request in this separate ticket is akin to the request in
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/50727 50727]: we’re at a point
 where we’ve finalized the patterns, and want to switch to using image URLs
 hosted on the WP.org CDN.

 These new patterns would be bundled with WordPress 5.8, so I suggest the
 images go in the `core/5.8/` directory. Each one has been compressed and
 optimized.
