 I opened PR against the Gutenberg repository that clarifies that
 `apiVersion` in `block.json` should be a number:

 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/33249

 All core blocks define `apiVersion` with the number `2`. We also used
 number in all examples in documentation and in the initial dev note
 https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/11/18/block-api-version-2/.
