 They probably would be, but we can work around that by keeping a cached
 count and only recounting upon an action taking place (or
 incrementing/decrementing it when an action takes place).

 I think some of the views are limited to recent topics anyway, which would
 make the queries much faster, although I think some caching would still be
 warranted.
