Comment:

 Unfortunately Browsers don't appear to offer any way to style these search
 highlights. `::selection` is available for text-selections, but not search
 highlights.

 The only fix here would be to remove the `text-shadow` on the buttons,
 which isn't ideal.. although it's not the worst.

 The good news is that the upcoming (2022) new WordPress.org style uses a
 different style of button that isn't affected by this.

 Unfortunately I'm going to close this as wontfix for now, unless someone
 comes along with a quick fix.
