Comment:

 Marking this as `maybelater` as there's nothing that we can currently do
 here.

 The WordPress.org website and API's will hopefully gain a distributed CDN
 / edges for API and downloads one day, but the meta team isn't in charge
 of that, and it's up to our systems engineers.
